Well, the report says he's not in the squad, whilst the Prem's own list (http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2142220,00.html) say he is one of Everton's home grown players - though they've named 9 rather than the minimum of 8.

.... I'm still reeling as to what constitutes a "home grown player" looking at Arsenal's selection.
There's no minimum:

Edit: just realised that's the same link you posted. So why did you not read the rules at the top?

I got as far as seeing that Arsenal's "home grown" players comprise Bendtner, Denilson, Clichy, Fabregas, Djourou-Gbadjere, Mannone and Song Bilong - after that reading the rules seemed particularly pointless.
:icon_lol: Load of bollocks isn't it?
Ok, so there's no minimum, however, there is a maximum (17) of non home grown.
Which just means clubs will look to sign younger foreigners. Hardly of any use to the England team is it?

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Legend........

Legend when he was here. Average legend when he left. I guess he's just a homeless legend now.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I am going to assume that the 'legend' term in relation to Solano is being thrown around, with peoples tongues firmly in their cheek.

Was watching the Chicago Fire on Saturday and Collins John came on as a sub and scored an 88th minute free-kick.

A couple of other ex-City players knocking around the MLS are Jimmy Nielsen and Ryan Smith at Kansas City and Steve Guppy is the assistant coach at Colorado.

John Curtis now playing in Australia with Gold Coast United.

Good update :038: the names Ryan Smith, Collins John and Jimmy Nielsen show just how poor MLS is. Still, it must be better than the A-League. John Curtis, fecking pub footballer :icon_roll

Is Kasey still keeping for the Seattle Grunge?

Is Kasey still keeping for the Seattle Grunge?

Seattle attendance averages dwarf many premier league teams. That said, the quality of football is truly shit stateside. Even I'm a decent player over here (and I'm rubbish).

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Yes, Kasey is still playing for Seattle.

Shilts is going on Strictly Come Dancing

How the mighty have fallen :icon_cry:

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Steve Guppy, now there's a man you could depend on to cross a ball and to score the exact same goal about 4 times a season (cut in, weak bending right foot shot in at far post)

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

No doubt he'll be after tupping that Felicity Kendall then.

Could be the first contestant thrown out for groping one of them there spanky young dancers

Must have been the main driver behind him accepting the gig - that and the fact that he hasn't got two ha'pennies to rub together
