Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I hear Chris Kirkland is leaving Wednesday without playing a game for them.

Personal reasons they reckon -nothing due to any injury he may or not have.

I thought they were just giving him time off?

Heard different reports up here

Radio Sheffield report that he has reached an agreement with the club to have unlimited time off

..................... tweeted that he is to be given time off for a personal issue.

............handed his notice in to the club due to personal reasons. Apparently his wife is seriously ill

Former Coventry City keeper Chris Kirkland has quit Sheffield Wednesday.
Kirkland, has according to The People, had his contract ripped up by Wednesday boss and former City defender David Jones for personal reasons.
The paper cites that Kirkland had been travelling from Merseyside but decided that he could not carry on and asked to be released from his contract.

However, for unknown reasons, on Sunday the 15 July 2012, Kirkland quit Sheffield Wednesday, without playing a single game for the club.

Re: Emile's getting desperate!

Love Emile to bits though I do, I can't help recalling that when he left us, he claimed one of the main reasons for choosing Liverpool was that he supported them.

Yep. Pretty sure his dad was a Leicester fan though? Being a Liverpool fan doesn't mean he can't be a Leicester fan as well. Having grown up in Leicester, watching the team play and played for the team and being a club legend, being a fan makes sense.

Just ask Robbie Keane.

Wasn't his ankle injury a smokescreen for more nefarious things in the first place?
