Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Sorry boc, pretty sure my wasted comment was a reference to Melt's elsewhere.

I'm referring to post #71 where you actually quote my post.

Yeah I know, I gave Melt's reasoning as an answer to your question or whatever.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I was really meaning "What has he done to reinforce any thought that he might be a good prospect?" - as was recognised by FIF

Well if tepid spells at clubs such as Alfreton, Hinckley and Cambridge City aren't reinforcement then I don't know what to say :102:

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Daily Mirror reports today that former Newcastle, Man City and Leicester defender Steve Howey is one of the applicants for the vacant manager job at Hartlepool.

Tony Thorpe is now playing down Goals. He was playing on the pitch next door to where we were messing around. His touch was ten times better than anyone else's on the pitch.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Them finding a picture of him wearing a LCFC shirt is an acheivement

I saw Paddy Mccarthy on the chapionship for Palace, scored a tap in - then went on to miss an open goal and give away a penalty.

Somethings never change :icon_wink

See Hammond scored for Cheltenham against 'Borough before Hayles got send off!

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Tricky Trev Benjamin played for the mighty Wellingborough Town (his hometown club) on Boxing Day, scoring after 10 minutes on his debut!
He'll be playing Sunday League next...

Hammond, Hayles and Kenton played, and Hayes came on as sub

Can't imagine why they got gubbed 6-3 at home....
