El Dude Brother.
Anyone able to help with this?

I need to put a spreadsheet together that has some drop down boxes. The drop down boxes need to be conditional. So if you select a certain category from the first box it only then gives you a certain list of options in the second box.

ie you might select 'premier league' and then only the premier league teams would appear in menu 2. The type you see on web forms all the time.

I can't imagine it's too hard to do but I can't seem to fathom it on my first day back at work in a fortnight. Suspect it involves some VBA??

Office 2007 BTW.

Here you go Durham,

Basically, you use the validation tool in 'Data'.
If you click in A10 you get a drop down box and what you select in there determines what choices you have in the 'team column' B10.

Not sure if it is exactly what you want but thought I'd offer it as a starter for ten.

The resource I looked at is here: http://www.contextures.com/xldataval02.html

Is the data limited to a choice of 16? I think I've tried this and limits the drop down to 16 selections....

I don't think so mate. I'll check for you.

Durham,

It appears there are no upper limits.

See attachment - click in cell F2 first, you'll get the drift.
