Mark De Vries made you fall in love with City???

Watching the 1961 FA Cup Final as a nearly 5 year old I thought it was unfair that a player who was hurt couldn't be replaced and that it was unsporting of Spurs to play with 11. From that day I decided to support Leicester. It was somewhat helped by nearly everyone in the street I lived in wanting Tottenham to win because they were the London team, I wanted to be different. I grew up in Hertfordshire on the edge of London and apart from my brothers and one lad at school who supported Norwich I was surrounded by Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. supporters.

Manchester City are well on top in recent times. We've played against them eight times since 1989, and only played Spurs twice in that time.

The Manchester City figure is even more startling if you include the League Cup. Since I started supporting City in the mid-sixties, we've played them 17 times in cup competitions; Spurs on only five occasions.

Exactly the same match that turned me into a Leicester supporter, aged 10 (and possibly subconsciously contributed to me choosing Leicester for six years at University from 1969).
