Yeah, he was that bloke who sat in with the fans with MdV at the aborted Trees match last season. And he played against, erm, Oadby.

Yeah you're right, he didn't exist.

And who everyone ignored because they didn't recognise him.....

The best player I saw for Leicester was Peter Shilton. However, since I love to see exciting wing playt my favourite was Keith Weller. In recent years I liked Brian Deane since I enjoy seeing a big centreforward with real skill. I also liked Paul Dickov for his sheer enthusiasm. From the present team I most enjoy Lloyd Dyer and Alexander Tunchev.

The point that slyfox was making was that we don't have any 'heroes' any more (as someone once sang)

Symptomatic of the modern footballer, but most clubs still have someone at least that they can cling onto as being on a pedestal

We hold most of them (if not all) in utter contempt most of the time

Plenty of people still sing the good old 'du du du du Matty Fryatt' song, but if we sold him in January they probably couldn't give a toss as long as we brought someone else in.

since my cat's called Izzet, I'm gonna say Muzzy

My daughter named her cat after him as well, but used the name Muzzy.
Mrs HTB met the man himself at the clubshop down Churchagte. On telling him about the cat, he wasn't quite sure what to make of it.

Oh, the cat's gone, runover by some twat speeding down our road!!

Loved him in that Animal Magic pretending he was an animal talking

Not quite the player at that stage of his career....he had put on a such lot of weight by then, that he was scarcely recognisable. The other difference is that THE Johnny Morris is still alive.

Pity that we don't have class players like that these days.....not that I'm a person to dwell on the past of course!

My first favourite was Russell Osman - loved his hair! In the early 90's Gary Mills and Tommy Wright, late 90's Pontus and Muzzy and since then.................................:tumbleweed:

My snake is called Muzzy. I couldnt give a toss about the current squad of players really. Players like Morrison or Tunchev if they stay for a few years and have some sucess could become favourites.

We've had so many managers and such a turn over of players that it's hard to get attached to a player at the moment. Whose the longest serving player (and for how long) on the squad at the mo?

Fryatt's probably up there in terms of players signed. Then there are the players who have come through the ranks such as Weso.

Any player that comes through the ranks and manages to get a first team place would qualify IMO.

btw I'm another Osman fan, liked his flowing locks and aggressive challenges too;

Savage was a poor man's version wasn't he? Besides Osman was in Escape To Victory and anybody that has played with the Great Sylvester Stallone is a hero in my eyes :icon_wink

I watched the movie because Osman was in it. (starts to whistle) Sav had great hair and Lilian's wasn't bad.

I forgot about 'our Lils' he did have great hair - better than Sav's I reckon. He wore the Alice band that enhanced the continental look about him. Sav only had long hair because if it was short he'd look like Mr.Rush from the Mr.Men.

But Osman was from the 70's and Lilian was from France, so you have to give Sav some credit.
