What with November 5th and Diwali we usually get several weeks of it.

Agree about the blanket ban. Might make the West standers jump about and cheer the team on if the aternative is freezing their collective bollox off by doing nothing except sitting there and moaning as usual.

Nothing to do with fireworks - I was taking you up on your proposal to ban blankets. West Standers use them from around Autumn to keep their legs warm. You know, those red green and blue tartan wooly ones.

I wonder where these fireworks are coming from. Since the new regilations came into force in 2004, they shouldn't even be in the shops until 15th October.

Fireworks are pretty much banned here as they cause wildfires. Some years they have a July 4th display over Tucson if it's not been too dry (which it usually is).

Guns, on the other hand, are everywhere and I hear gunshots most nights. I like to think of it as just the Mexican kids, playing....
