Mechanically they are quite sound, electrics are a joke though.

That's why the D Turbo is so good, it is an old style mechanical engine and not one of the modern ones where everything is covered up and ran by computers.

You are right about electrics though, they are notoriously pretty appalling to be honest. Just make sure that everything works (electric wise) before you buy and you'll be fine.

In addition, it is not that much of a problem as the faults are usually pretty obvious ones and therefore easy to repair yourself.

I'm probably a bigger fan of them as I have got one, but I guarantee you won't find another make of car that is 9 years old with leather interior, alloys, cd player and changer, climate control, rain sensitive wipers and a few other things for 1k!!!!

Dont bother French shit, My Mrs is on her second one in a year the first one the soft top was recalled and writen off by citroen as a economical write off as the roof would not stop leaking.The second is now ****ed as the engine management has packed up after 10000 miles just out off the warrenty.

I brought two brand new citrons last year 07 plates one c3 and the grand c4 picasso VTR + not had any probs with them at all ,then again none of them where soft tops
