A very average first half in which neither team really did anything, second half you lot probably shaded it but how far offside was Vassell for your second ??? And as for Clattenburg - what a twat.

Third goal = snigger snigger

Vassell wasn't offside, Kamara was though ;) But then so was Earnshaw for your second so it evens itself out. Except that it didn't, it swung in your favour. I honestly think if we'd have made the playoffs we'd have got slaughtered and on yesterday's showing so will you unless you get Swansea maybe.

Personally I think whichever three goes up, all three are coming straight back down.

I can see your point - no side has shown the consistency required to make a decent fist of the PL. But I think there are so many also-ran teams in that league that a decent Championship side can hope to stay up. I think any of the Championship's current top 8 could, with three or four good signings, realistically have a crack at mid table.

Norwich will give it a good go in the Prem lge, they play good football and that is the key to survival. with regards to city Sven had no choice but to go for loan players, as the squad he inherited was not good enough. we have had a reasonable season considering where we were when Sven took over.
Judging from his interview he has already started his building job for next season, his first aquisition should be a keeper, both ricardo and weale have been shaky this season, the difference will be wether Sven can attract some real quality next season.

:038:

Here are several from the last 15:
Kevin Pressman
Paul Henderson
Rab Douglas
Zeljko Kalac
David Martin
Tony Warner
Simon Royce
Danny Coyne
Lars Hirschfeld
Chris Kirkland
Carl Ikeme
Conrad Logan
I thought Hendo was quite a good goalie

I think QPR will definitely give it a good go. They've got the money to spend as well.

I agree with Rich though that the others would struggle. But then again no one expected Blackpool to get much more than 10 points this season. Admittedly they've now dropped off and probably will be relegated (yay!), but even so I think the teams that could go up this season are stronger than Blackpool.

QPR looked like a one man team today IMO, that Taraabt is a special player. Cardiff looked great, everything we lacked yesterday, creativity upfront, closing down from all players all over the pitch, defending from the front etc etc

We created a few chances just before Weale scored, I actually believed we had a chance...

Same here.

I wonder what the fans that booed Ricardo and chanted Weale's name think now?
Oakley had a good game as well, another player who gets stick from fans
Just goes to show how many moronic fans we have!!!!!
Roll on next season

Trouble is they hate Ricardo(is isn't any better than Weale) and they REALLY hate Oakley(It's been great the last few weeks watching them all have absolutely nowt to slate the bloke for, no matter how much they tried!)

Wellens was the best player on the field.

I was watching a different game then, He often put the defence in trouble, and was bickering with Gally throughout the game.

Thought King played a lot better than he has in recent weeks, shame he was carrying the rest of the midfield when Oakley went off.

As for Chris Weale........well I don't give abuse to players, I will however shout and swear if a player drops a massive clanger like he did, especially if it a)loses us the game and b) is against that bunch of inbred tossers.
I think I was well within my rights yesterday evening to be as angry as I was when I saw him **** up as he did. Shame his missus(who was in front of me) couldn't see past her Weale-tinted shades) as she turned round and gave me a gobful for DARING to have a pop at her beloved..

Well feck off you stupid bint! You bloody sit(well stand) there in your freebie seat, not giving a shit about the result as you only really care about how your hubby does(which is fair enough). As a fan I'm ALLOWED to get extremely pissed off seeing my side lose to local rivals in such a cringeworthy way, and yer, I can actually shout at said player 'That was your ****ing fault' if I want to.
That's not abuse, that's putting the blame where it belongs.
That doesn'#t give you, or the old bint with you, the right to have a pop at me and then slag off fans who(as said by old bint) ignore them, they have no right to have a go at the players)

Well errrr, on occasion we do have that right you old trout!
They were lucky I spent the last ten minutes watching in pretty much muteness I was that bloody angry at how we threw the game away.....else I would've made the silly cows cry with what I really wanted to say about her hubbys goalkeeping abilities.

Yes, love, I hope you did tell him that the fans thought it was his fault..not that he would've needed you to say anything!

Grrrrr.

Not very often I disagree with Hazz but I'm with you here. The most frustrating thing yesterday was the monkeys around me giving him abuse because he wasn't running around like DJ feckin' Campbell used to do all the time (to no effect whatsoever).

He may not have been running around like DJ but he was equally as pathetic and wastefull.

I agree. It seems to me that this is Neil Warnock's great chance to prove himself. I do not like him and am glad he has never managed us but I have never thought him a less than canny manager. He will make QPR hard to beat though whether that will be enough I am not sure.

As for the other clubs I hope either Swansea or Cardiff get into the Prem and survive since I would like to see at least one Welsh club there. However, that is a wish rather than a prophecy.

And offside....

Unless they remove themselves from under any authority the Welsh FA have over them......which is never gonna happen so imo they should feck off.:icon_razz

Recent moves from the Welsh FA suggest otherwise.

, he isn't that type of player anymore, his job is to be big and strong, hold the ball up, batter the defence and bring the runners .

Didn't do a lot of that yesterday. Vassell gave Morgan/Chambers a lot more problems and we were edging the game once he came off/on.

Who would you prefer we signed? (Being realistic of course)

Ricardo Fuller, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, Matt Derbyshire are three players being phased out or bit-part players in the Premiership. Then we have Steve Morison at Mill, Shane Long, Danny Graham.

Not holding me breath they won't try and have some of control though, however minute.

Yer please!:icon_wink

I hope Warnock crashes and burns and that neither Welsh club get to the Prem.

Beaumont, I may have missed something (I usually do) but what is the problem with the Welsh FA.
