Will there be a no right hand column style option?

Will there be a no right hand column style option?

I'm just playing around with the right hand column thing at the moment so I don't know how the final version will work. I might use a different system to what's showing at the moment, and it will definitely be narrower than what we have now.

If you click on the
tab-collapsed.png
it should remove it and should remember the setting when you move between pages. But that could change if I decide to do the right column a different way.

Once I've got it working properly I'll then look at ways for people to permanently ignore it.

I clicked on the arrow to hide it, but notice that each time I change thread, the page shrinks as if to show the column again and then flicks back out to hide it... am hoping this will resolve itself once you have come up with your final version.

I'm hoping most people won't want to hide it when I come up with the final version. But I'll try to provide an option for those people that do.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed by the shortcomings of this "improved" software. After all the years they spent developing it they still haven't included many basic features that people have been asking for years, such as a column at the side, and the ability to ignore threads (people have been asking for that since 2003!). People got round this in the past by using third party add-ons, but most of them won't work on the new version and people haven't updated them yet.

I think if you're planning on making the column slightly thinner then it will be fine and wont need to be hidden; the current version for me unfortunately takes up a bit too much of the screen.

I removed the vBulletin logo early on Monday evening, your browser must still have it in its cache. Try ctrl-F5 to see if that fixes it.

Gone now, thanks. Now then, how are your PaintShop skills for the new TB logo?!

I'll have a go at making you a logo if you want, as long as you don't expect anything amazing ;)

I feel guilty for not contributing with a donation! :icon_redf

Thanks for adding the right bar back in! I was missing it, I love it.

I have the same issue. We go straight to advanced now when replying to a thread. :icon_razz

If you multiquote then it seems to carry that multiquote to the next post even if you do not mean to multiquote. :102:

Can you explain that in more detail, I'm not sure what you mean.

If I do a multiquote, that is to say quote more than one post and then post a reply to those quotes, when I subsequently reply to a single post the original multiquoted posts still appear in the message area. :102:
