Foxes Trust Statement Written by Foxes Trust Board

The Foxes Trust Board confirms receipt of a document from Leicester FC relating to the takeover bid of Milan Mandaric.

This document has a requirement to give a written commitment to the sale of the Trust’s shares to Milan Mandaric within a limited time frame.
The Trust is currently completing it’s evaluation of the document.
During the last week the Trust Board, as well as holding it’s own board meeting, has attended a further two meetings.

On Wednesday night, LCFC shareholders had the opportunity to listen directly to Milan Mandaric as he outlined his plans for the future of the club and answered questions. Most of the Trust Board attended this meeting and raised several points

On Thursday night, several of the Trust Board along with a number of shareholders attended a meeting at Grace Road where a discussion took place on alternative options to the Mandaric bid, again Trust Board members contributed to the discussions.

Due to the confidential nature of each meeting, as outlined by the organisers in both cases the Trust Board cannot reveal in any greater depth the content of each meeting at this time.

Attendance of both meetings was vital for the Trust Board as the final stages of deciding whether to back the Mandaric bid.

The Trust Board will announce it’s decision within the next 48 hours.

And about feckin' time

Now let's get him in, get this useless feck out and get out of this constant misery

This isn't positive.

Am I the only one that can read that the FT are voting against MM in the release

Well if Taylor and Clarke are backing it they will look like complete wankers if they don't

I posted this in the other thread, but this is what I think was said on RL, for those who didn't hear it:

RL understand that while JJ would like to form another bid if he had the cash, the other 2 who resigned, who own about £700k of shares between them, have still backed the offer and are willing to sell their shares to MM.

Barber says he's now hearing Tuesday, but admits that it keeps changing.

Quite interesting what they're saying, if true. Something about us being in the top 5 most expensive clubs in the country to run behind the scenes (I think he said in terms of as a percentage of turnover). While MM's bid to the shareholders has been lowered during the course of all of this, his investment will actually still be the same, he's just had to lower the offer because of the huge debts the club has. Barber says if we hadn't sold Connolly we would've made a loss of £4m instead of the profit.

I think that's about all that was said on the takeover..

Have the FT got opinions/votes from their members already? Or are the Trust board just making the decision for them now?

we are one of the top 5 most expensive clubs in the country - largely due to salaries paid to non playing staff and also how much is spent on conference and catering

thanks Tim!

Oh, the other thing they mentioned which I forgot was that the current wage bill is around 50% lower than it was in our first season back down under Micky Adams.

RL just went over it again, and said the Trust expect they will back the bid... not sure where they got that though, as they've not said anything either way in the statement.

it says the trust board will annouce its decision wheter to back the bid within 48 hours.

Surely the members of the Foxes Trust are Leicester City Fans who should voice their opinions of the majority of us fans infact most of us want MM here, why would they be any different? Its our club the Foxes Trust should listen to us; the fans!!
