Agreed we could have updated the website more often, fair point.

Members were given a week to respond, so responses are still being received, hence the results are incomplete so can't be published. It also takes time to compile a summary after receipt

Sorry Disco Bob, but during live interviews words can come out not always as intended however much care is taken, the media can also spin what is said to create a more interesting story.

Obviously you think we should go without sleep to respond to every fan within 24 hours, we do have full time jobs, which I need to get on with again now.

Think somebody hit a nerve :icon_lol:

I voted always great- although if you'd given us a less loaded poll I'd have preferred to vote 'Good, but can and must do better'

It will cost him around £6 million to buy the club. FACT :icon_roll

*If* he then buys the stadium all he'll be doing is loaning the club money to do it, which he'll get back.

Well said Jeff.

If you feel the responsibility placed upon you is beyond you then you know what to do, Ian.

The sarcasm in the post just goes to demonstrate how inadequate you are in the role you currently occupy, and how much you are letting down the supporters like myself that are members of the Trust.

If you think anyone on the trust board isn't up to the job, nominate a replacement and vote them onto the board, or nominate yourself. Then we'll see if you're any good at doing anything other than moaning about people.

That's a bit harsh Jeff, we all moan about the jobs other people do from time to time, it doesn't mean we can do it any better, it means that you do your own thing to the best of your ability and if you can't, expect criticism.

I'm sure we have all criticised Prime Ministers and state leaders of various countries at some point in time, should we keep quiet then if we can't do it any better?

Or even put yourself up for the job of press officer, which is I believe vacant, and which seems to be the area that you have most problem with.

Did you not read Melton's reply? The idea that FT officers shoud only be open to comment from people who are prepared to replace them is preposterous. As long as the FT acts in the name of City supporters, they must expect and accept criticism from members and non-members alike.

It might be pertinent to find out why the job of press officer is vacant before considering applying for it.

Coz no fecker is prepared to put the time into doing it would be my bet.

I didn't suggest that you should make a wild guess.

Well, I did, although it doesn't look like you read mine very carefully. I was merely pointing out that the job was vacant.

I think that the trust have missed out on some expertise here, (I know they're volunteers and if nobody has that expertise and they can't afford to buy it in, it is difficult) because some of their statements have been inconsidered to say the least. The "oh no it isn't", "oh yes it is", pantomime over the value of the bid did nothing to move the debate forward and dragging up the groundshare issue served only to stir up fans' emotions.

Tsk. Educated guess, based on work with other voluntary organisations.

I didn't suggest that you should make an educated guess.

I have not said that anyone is beyond criticism.
I was merely suggesting a route people could take if they're not happy with the way things are being done.
But some people will devote hours to moaning about things but can't be bothered to make any effort to get involved in improving things.

On Foxpodder this week Ian Bason Chairman of the Foxes Trust says his gut feeling is that the Mandaric bid will succeed, that the shareholders may well get a choice at the EGM next week ... and that early results from the FT poll are that FT members are MORE AGAINST groundsharing than in the past.
