It's seems to be a standard term, I mentioned before that on the crossbar challenge, Powell was referred to as assistant manager as well, I'm not sure who they all are.

Yes, but Chris Powell is an assistant manager/player/coach whatever. The Steve Walsh in the video is not the Steve Walsh that is the Asst Manager.
Just another example of lazy journalists not researching their story properly.
