It means you really should be using an interpreter until you can say what you mean in English. Presumably he meant "top clubs"

This is one of the things that annoys me. He's lived and worked in England now for over two years and his vocabulary is unchanged. Either learn the language better or speak in French and let someone else interpret for you. But what he does is repeat the same few words in answer to every single question and it's unbelievably weak and uninspiring.

I'd not criticise him if he never spoke a word of English as long as he used an interpreter to express himself to players, staff and supporters properly. After all, I don't speak French or any other language so can hardly criticise another person. But the way he speaks is disrespectful to everyone. Most importantly. the people he works with every day.

And as you know, he eats in the popular French restaurant ‘Pret A Manger ’. I’ve never been in one but presumably all of the staff are French and he must spend most of his spare time there talking about home.
