I wouldn't be suprised to see Gerrbrand at left back.. CL has already said he sees Johansson as a CB and I can't see that Nissa would have joined if he knew he was going to be on the bench most games. McCarthy did well last season, and it would definetely be a shame to see him drop to the bench. But I really doubt we would have signed Gerrbrand, especially for what for us is a considerable fee by the sounds of it and after Levein has been chasing him for 7 months, to have him on the bench. Gerrbrand said of himself that he is fast and passes the ball well, so I think he may be at LB..

Its been reported (by the Merc, and Sky Sports) that we were after a LB, a CB and a striker. So there should still be a LB to come in unless Levein thinks Sheehan can do the job. I would imagine then that CL plans mainly McCarthy, Johansson and Gerrbrand all as CBs, one being a quality back-up for the other 2.
