Why can't our senior pros can't handle a bit of pressure? Let's face it, it's hardly intense. Someone will get boos and jeers if they are consistently shite. That's it. It's not out of order and it's not unwarranted.

If they poo themselves in front of 20,000 at a funeral-like Walkers, are they likely to be able to handle themselves going to Anfield or Old Trafford?

What example is that to our kids with potential? Poo yourself at the first sign of trouble lads.

As supporters, we need to set the standards. We have. The players are aware of what is good enough and what is not. We're doing our job. If they did theirs, there would be nothing to worry about.

Two options:

1. Support the shite.
2. Insist they shape up or feck off.

I'm with option 2 everytime.

Option 2 may be taking us backwards.

A sentence full of hypocrisy if ever I've read one.

Why. It is a crap atmosphere at home and our record there is even worse. If I am going to waste my money, I will try and have a bit more fun wasting my money wherever possible. There is much more of a buzz with our away support than our home support.

Top stuff BN :038:

It's a full circle.

If the club tout and promote themselves as promotion contenders and sell season tickets with such bravado. Surely if we don't get promotion contenders, the fans are bound to feel tetchy.

Could someone from the "booing players is constructive criticism" brigade please give a few examples where a player has said, "Gosh, they're booing me. I wasn't going to try, but I am now!" OR,
A manager has said, "I was going to keep this poor player in my team, but as the crowd booed, I'd better go out and sign a multi-million pound alternative."

If the manager is worth his salt, he'll know who to replace when a better alternative becomes available. Cort was poor on Saturday. You've now heard why Holloway asked him to play: do you think that the jeerers were justified? Who would you have played in his place?

I once had a customer complain to my boss that i wasn't looking after his account very well.

After my bollocking, I became the best account Manager that geezer could have wished for.

The difference?, I want to please my customers, and I'm happy for them to let their feelings known.

footnote - Once again, I have never booed. (accusations prevented)

The difference? There wasn't 20,000+ customers directly complaining at you inside an arena, there was only one & he complained to your boss.

Not going to argue 'cause I can't be bothered and I see your point. I just find all this blaming of the fans bollocks nothing short of pathetic.

There is no point in arguing because I agree with you.

I hope that nobody is stupid enough to say that, were the fans to cheer nicely at each match, we would be top of the Premiership, but perhaps our players would feel more comfortable at home - and, who knows, perhaps our home form would at least match our return away from the Walkers .......:102:

Sorry to hear you're not going, but it is depressing with the lack of atmosphere. You could usually expect people to join in, but after a while of no response, you end up giving up too, and the atmosphere is non-existant.
Still, many people only go to 'spectate' and not support.
:102:

Let me start by saying that I never boo players and the team before, during or after game's, my choice is wether to shout encouragement and sing or stay silent.

For a considerable period of time therefore I have remained largely silent, believing that most of the players have done precious little to warrant my vocal support.

I can appreciate that playes will from time to time lack confidence but I also believe that they need to show far more committmnt to the fans for me to be more vocal.

If they are struggling to do this on the pitch then why not put extra work in at training or interact more with fans in other ways, to show us that they do care and are desperate to improve.

Must admit, I find myself identifying with this post.

:038:

One of the reason's why I do not go to home games anymore is the dire support.

Then come along and help us to improve it.

As a decent supporter, staying away isn't really helping.

Yes, I agree with what you are saying in essence, but to be tarred with the same brush as so many 'so called fans'. I would rather not be a fan.

I am a fan of LCFC. I want them to do as well as they can, whoever the fcuk is in charge, but I will not 'sit' there and boo 'my' team.

Some people need to wake up and smell the roses. We were once an combative Premiership team. But now, we are back to where we should be, and to get us back to where we want to be, we need support not just from the team but from the fans as well.

Sorry if that makes no sense, but simplified, it means COME ON LEICESTER! :038:

And just to get a little dig in at the inner circle:

You wankers!

You love digging at the inner circle don't you, you bender? :icon_wink :icon_lol:

:icon_lol:

I actually have no memory of posting that, was really pissed last nite, but the spelling in the post was top notch, even better than when I am sober!!

FACT - Our home form is relegation standard whilst our away form is acceptable.

I don't think the reason for the modest difference is anything to do with the fans - it's much more likely to be because we can sit back more in away games; whilst at home we are obliged to try to open up play which doesn't suit our lack of mid field creativity and weak attack.

Spot on. It is probably a bit of both with poor creativity which breeds the bad atmosphere as people go to the football to be entertained and we do not have the footballers to do it (Other than one decent performance vs Watford) hence making the players more apprehensive. In fact, the odd performance like Watford etc make it all the more infuriating for the fans. It is not worth booing as this lot are not up to it and will only get worse. The manager needs to get better players in come January and then we can see what happens after that.
