Manic Street Preachers at Cardiff Millenium Stadium

I saw Daniel Kitson last night and I agree with him when he says the quality of a gig is directly associated with the amount of people that attend it.

Therefore something you like such as music is always better in small gigs and venues than the larger ones.

point taken dunc i would always prefer the intamacy of a smaller venue but some of the artists i like to go and see only play large venues and normally i would trek to the NEC (i refuse to go the ricoh) the walkers option would be a most acceptable one as i only live a couple of mile away

Interesting FT......you mean she's not settled in yet then.....?

No don't mean that, it's just that you need to get to know the business & a pop concert may not be on the top priority list agreed to work on

Think I've said before but Kasabian offered to play down there, but TD declined the offer....:icon_roll:

To put into context they had only had one hit at the time, could be worth re-visiting now, particularly if they made it their only Midlands gig

Besides they were just using us as a marketing tool, appearing in the prog and coming out on the pitch at half time all that kind of publicity crap.

Anyway FT whats happened to half time entertainment? It seems to of been scrapped at all grounds? Can you shed any light on why?

Who knows, but they aren't going to play there til they release their next album at the earliest anyway, so that'll be late this year and so next summer.

IMO whether they do play the Bowl or not will depend on the response to their 2nd LP.

Would expect the new Commercial Director once settled in to look at this one, particularly as she comes from a media selling background, will ask her about it next time we see her.

She's certainly making her presence felt now....must have settled in ok!!!

She is erecting a new podium i heard.
