I didn't think we started off THAT defensively on Saturday. Considering we had Mattock and Stearman at full back who both like to go forward and Hume on the right wing who is clearly a striker, the line-up looked pretty positive.

However, and I have thought about this statement pretty hard, I cannot remember a worse defensive performance from Leicester in the 20 years I have been watching them. This was especially true down our left where both Mattock and Sheehan were woeful and looked petrified of the ball on the ground vs. Lloyd Sam / Danny Mills or the ball in the air vs. Iwelumo / anyone else.

After that, to take Hume (again our best attacking threat) when you're 2-0 down at half-time is a ridiculous decision. I, like most, assumed he was injured. The fact that he wasn't, goal difference or otherwise, makes it a scary decision.

I don't know where we go from here,...it certainly won't be the play-offs if that's all we've got.

The horrors a defensive manager who has a team that cant defend.

Fact is it's going to take a while for this to settle down.
MA was in charge of the squad through pre-season,set up the training regimes & outlined how he wanted them to play.Pretty much an attacking style generally.Then after a few games GM comes in & has them trying to play a completely different defensive style requiring a different mindset.No way is this going to come together seamlessly & in a hurry!

What we have to do though is start playing people in position.N'Gotty is a centre-half who can just about do a job at right back so play him in the middle.Chambers was bought to play right back so for God's sake play him there! The left side is a massive shambles with Mattock at left back & Sheehan left side of midfield too.Mattock is too young to be expected to play every game & always looks better going forward than defending anyway.As for Sheehan,same goes.Neither looks anything like solid at left back which is why Clive Clarke was brought in.If GM wants to get loanees in then a left back is an absolute priority.Play Ferreira left side midfield (also what he was brought in for) & either play Hume as a striker or free behind the front 2.He's wasted as a winger.
