I'm sure when he's an old man he'll be proud to show his grandkids his FA cup quarter final losers medal, while he probably binned his JPT winners medal.

I'm with Gregs on this. FA Cup Quarter Final against Chelsea (and scoring) ranks above the JPT.

Stringer told me that Gally's was the "Goal of the season" he might be right. I also enjoyed his "Don't bother diving for that kid, the net'll save it" comment for Nugent's goal at Watford.

Some very good goals, tough to say which was technically the best. Gally's on a bad day could have hit the stands, but it didn't, it was a cracking finish.

The best thing about Gallagher's was how it kept rising, it wasn't just a high shot which looped down like Marshall's. It takes ridiculous technique to keep a ferocious shot down and so it slowly rises into the top corner from that distance. I think Ronaldo scored one like that vs Porto too.

1) Marshall v Chelski
2) Gally v Palace
3) Beckford v Florist/ Nuge v Watford/Danns v Palace

Player of year: - Kasper, most consistent player throughout an inconsisent season.
YP: - The Konch

I'm sure he'll definitely be telling his grand kids how he scored a pearler against one of the best keepers in the world.....provided he doesn't get alzheimers. They won't give a crap about the JPT medal

Or dementia or erm...what were we on about??

I'm sure he'll get lots more chances to score goals against good goalkeepers when he goes on to play in the prem. But a cup final at Wembley is a one off, he might never get the chance again.

I'll be very surprised if he gets another chance with the JPT.
Expect him to be playing at a higher level for some time to come.

There are some really good goals on there. It's a tough call between the gallacher goal and Ben marshall goal Vs Chelsea, Both were sweet strikes, but I'm picking Gally's because he hit it so hard, it was still on the rise when it went in from 35M.

Even though we have had a crap season, those goals can raise a smile. I notice a lot of them are against the best clubs though, says a lot about city.

Gally's vs Palace for me. If people on here have played 11 a side football at any level, you will realise how ridiculously difficult it is to run onto a ball, get that kind of power & keep it down & on target. Now I dislike Gallagher, but that goal was simply extraordinary technique and deserves goal of the season in my opinion.

If he goes on to have a successful career as a Premier League player I'd hope he'd have more to tell his grandchildren about than the one JPT final.

I'm sure he will, but the original point was about what has been his biggest game so far, not what he might achieve in the future.
I'd be very surprised if Ben Marshall considers 20 minutes in a JPT final the biggest game he's played in.

Nah I have to say Marshall by a long way. Biggest game of his career and he opened his account for us with an absolute world beater that was so good one of the best keepers in the world didn't even bother diving. If he doesn't get it, it'll be a travesty. Quite surprised he only had one on the shortlist.

Gally's should win because...

I love Marshall's and Gallagher's for different reasons. Gallagher's was just absolute quality and technically brilliant, as many have said already. Marshall's though... it just came out of nowhere, a bit of magic we didn't even know the boy was capable of and a bright spot in what was a terrible cup match for us. To score a goal like that against one of the best teams in the country, well that's special.

I'm still not sure which one I prefer...

I think Jeff might have something to say about that...
