Simple answer is a great deal of damage:

Nigel Pearson Last Season = 1.65 points per game

De Souza (with same squad) = 0.56 points per game

OK Paulo didn't get long, but he scored a third of the points per game with basically the same squad. We also lost our fitness (which may have contributed to our low points per game statistic). We played pretty football, but couldn't score and our great defence from last season fell apart.

Under Sven (more strictly since Paulo left) = 2.17 points per game
