Griffiths handed chance by Foxes

Leicester City have handed a trial to Australian international midfielder Joel Griffiths.

The 26-year-old has been playing for Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax.

Griffiths first attracted the attention of Foxes boss Craig Levein in the summer but any move was scuppered by Neuchatel's asking price of £450,000.

But he is now out of contract and is looking for a move to boost his chances of making the Socceroos squad for next summer's World Cup finals.
