We narrowly missed out on a player (Craig Hignett)...

Don't want to unbalance the squad...

I've tried 12 different wide players this season and 13 is unlucky...

There's just no smashing lads available...

No one knew my name when I phoned up...

The call box I usually use was out of order...

I've run out of Blackburn rejects to call...

The Premiership teams just don't want to see me ruin their players...

I tried to sign Andy Welsh but then realised he'd already signed for Toronto. I thought he could offer us a great deal. It's a great shame.

I thought the deadline was tomorrow.

Me and the boys got carried away on a Championship manager session. I signed Pierre Van Hoojdoink on a free and forgot I was playing a game. When I did realise it was 5.30pm.
