Ive just watched possibly one of the best FA Cup final in my era with my house mate who is a liverpool fan and i feel horrifically depressed.

Im craving success for my own beloved club so much its upsetting to see someone else celebrate. i cant get the image of claridge scoring and wielding away at wembley.

ive not wanted the old days back so much before :( :(

When will it be the mighty foxes turn again?

the feeling here is mutual. all i kept thinking when steve gerrard lifted the cup (as i think every year) was why have we never won that f'ing cup, and will we ever win it.

but you'll be even more gutted than you are right now if you're a hammer.

earlier in the season I was thinking like that about seeing other teams win 3 pts in the league, so at least things are looking up :icon_conf

I find it sad we have never won a FA Cup. I want to see us in one Cup final before I die. 18 yrs and counting.

That's my dream as well after seeing them lose three times in the sixties. Got to the stage that it matters more than winning the premier, because one's a reality the other a possibility. Even when we get back to the top flight because of finances it's very difficult to see us winning the premier league as much as we can dream, but the cup is based on one match at a time as we proved against Spurs this year and Charlton last year.

We actually hold the record for the most finals without ever having won it.

We are the Jimmy White of football!!!

Although we are The Peoples Enemy as opposed to Jimmy's title of The Peoples Favourite

We used to be the "people's team" under MON but since then we've lost our way and people have gone off us... we're the Tim Henman of football!:icon_conf :icon_roll

any success doesnt even have to be the fa cup for me. it has just been so long since i felt what success was like. one thing i do remember is i enjoyed it.

A cup run is very satisfying like last year, but i want the real deal, a playoff final, a cup win, a promotion, PLEASE GOD SATISFY MY URGES.

Imo another year of consolidation is on the cards. Not what the city fans want to hear, but mid table is more likely than promotion

IF we get back into the premier we could do a Bolton. Bolton are a good example of a cash-strapped club who have progressed to 8th and into Europe. They are like we used to be. We used to have a good solid defence, and we used to be very hard to beat under MON; and now Bolton seem to be like that.

But a lot of their success was down to Allardyce persuading big named players to join. IMO without Djorkaeff and Okocha in particular, they wouldn't have been able to persuade other important high-profile players, e.g. Diouf, Hierro, Nakata etc, to have joined them.

If we were to get promoted we would need a big-named player known worldwide in order to attract other quality signings.
