i think we could make playoffs if we start well but what you have said dose sound more likely

We could do a Watford. 18th last season. Play off final this season.

BTW, good point Mike, hopefully, RK can try and persuade some decent players. We need some experienced players like Okocha, and also some young and eager players, like Searman, Stepphen Hughes, Fryatt etc...

Yes they are nice and young. :icon_wink

i remember when bolton used us as role models, now were using watford

  :045:

Saying that, Charlton did too, so now that thier long term manager has gone they are going to appoint Peter Taylor!!! :038: :038: :038:

Question is, will Darren Bent go to Liverpool for £11 million, giving PT a £26 million pound warchest to squander?

We got to the cup semi in 1982 and didn't do anything in any cup until we got to the Boro final in 1997 so we may have a long wait!

The younger fans on the forum have to realise they were probably brought up in our most successful era ever!

On a positive note it does prove that when it comes to clubs of our size and resources, these pockets of success come around in cycle's and usually coincides with a particular manager's time at a club.

Leicester - MON

Derby - Jim Smith

Charlton - Alan Curbishley

Bolton - Sam Alladyce

Therefore there is no reason to believe that our time will not come again, it will be very interesting to see how Charlton perform without Curbishley and how Bolton would be affected should Big Sam move to a bigger club.

Ive just watched possibly one of the best FA Cup final in my era with my house mate who is a liverpool fan and i feel horrifically depressed.

Im craving success for my own beloved club so much its upsetting to see someone else celebrate. i cant get the image of claridge scoring and wielding away at wembley.

ive not wanted the old days back so much before :( :(

When will it be the mighty foxes turn again?

A long time buddy - a long, long time.

thanks that makes me feel better :)
