Well thats the last lge game of 2008 for us, and what a year it has been.
After that day at Stoke, with probaly the worst feelings we have ever had as city fans, we are actually ending the year on a more positive note.

Top of the lge and 7pts ahead in the auto promo race, and a healthy lead over ' dirty '

So are we happy
Where are the main concerns with the team in terms of strengthening ?

Goalie for me. Flapper Martin isn't the answer and I expect Hendo to retake the position as soon as he is fit again. Not that he is the long term answer either.

Plus, another striker. Dickov is finished.

Agree re the keeper as i have little confidence in Martin. Dickov however i disagree as i think he can still be effective for us if we play to his strengths. His legs have indeed gone so theres no point putting balls down channels for him. But to feet around the box he is still a wiley old character who can cause problems.

He didn't cause anybody any problems today MCF. Dickov has gone well past his sell by date.

This time last year swansea was top with 41 ponits to go up ,top with i think they said 92 points (RL)

Now this year we have 51 pionts and top ,we could get 100 by the end of the season and go up div 1 champ's .

Now i agree his best days are behind him and he is only a squad player these days, but i think at this level his crafty turns in the box might still produce a few results this season. I imagine he's not really game fit at the mo.

DJ's your man he very fast - just slow in learning the offside law. Perhaps we utilise the subs to run up and down the line telling DJ when to run!!

Not much ,just we are after him and have been for a while now, he's a player from the league above us.

i have to say we are in a better position than i thought i would be in at this stage. Before the season started i thought we would be on the verge of play offs.

I'm really happy with the way things are going, i believed NP was right from the start and so far he has been. Its excellent that Fryatt has found some form and bagging them in, and the fact he has signed a nre contract shows the club is going in the right direction.

We seem to have that team spirit back we had a few years ago, if we can keep this squard i think we will have a solid foundation for the rest of the season and an awesome start in the championship next.

all in all excellent! all we need now is the FA Cup under our belt for the double
