He has passed the medical. :) :) ;)

Heath set to sign

Matt Heath has agreed terms with the Sky Blues after passing his medical and is all set to sign a two-year deal tomorrow for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old will join Coventry from Leicester where he made 60 first team appearances after progressing through their Academy.

Lets face it they deserve one another.

sounds like MA is trying to rebuild Leicester at Cov...obviously cant bear to be parted from us!

According to today's Mercury, they offered £200,000 for Heath. I think we've got a great deal there! Paddy McCarthy costs us half of what we sell Heath for!

Although, if we sell Heath for 200,000, Jordan should've gone for more than £125,000

Defends like an attacker in the air, and like Bambi on the ground. Probably the biggest single reason why we got relegated (MA's insistance on picking him).

thats a bit harsh really, heath coped better in the premier league that year compared to people such as elliott and taggart who were well passed it.

Agree with Drummin - you are being a bit harsh. He was only young and had the chance to develop, but he lacked pace and that was one thing that was never going to change.

Good bit of business though, to get £200k for him!

The fee is being quoted as 'undisclosed' - I would imagine that it's alot less than the £200k being banded around. £50k more like.

Hull were quoted as offering 200k, would we let him go for less. :) :) ;)

nominal fee could mean almost anything, could be 50k but then again some of the players micky signed like howey were described as nominal fees and were apparently 300k or so

IMO we will have probably recieved 100k maximum from Coventry, they have little money available, and following some of the stick CL recieved over the Stewart fee it is likely the club decided it best to keep this one under wraps.

Players are only worth what a club are willing to pay, and in both Heath and Stewart's instances it was clear they did not fit into CL's plans nor were they good enough, therefore it was highly unlikely we were ever going to recieve substantial offers for players of this calibre.

But it is a positive step by the club, although both players were relatively young and is the case with Tommy Wright, they were too inconsistent and clearly not good enough to play for a club with aspirations of premiership football. As with the other players being moved on this summer, I have been impressed with Levein's judgement.
