Its not the only reason people get divorced obviously, but drug use, drinking and violent abuse, constitutes a high number.

Different thing all together. But I have yet to see someone claims that illness on to why they drink, smoke and take drugs.
There would be self harmers about even if there was no tobacco, drink or illegal drugs in this world.

People self harm because its a coping mechanism,the same in that some people drink or smoke becauses it helps them cope when things are bad in their life .I fail to see the difference.

spot on, thats the american way I believe. They will make sure you have either a credit card or enough insurance.

In your scenario just given, I would issue a bill to cover costs if it was proved to be down to drink or smoking, even more so if you have ignored the advise of a doctor to give up.

people don't have to drink or smoke to cope, that is just complete bollux and a good cop out.
Take fags and booze away from an addict and he can be cured, he wont die. Drugs certain types they have to be taken off slowly, but a self harmer is so different and I dont really understand how you can compare.

No,what you are talking is a complete load of bollux and you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about.I do know what I'm talking about on this,one of the few things I do know about

This is true. I was waiting to have stitches in a hand wound, and was called thru before the guy next to me, who was having attack of pendasitas (?).They were waiting for insurance proof.

Isnt there talk of charging drunks at A&E.

I'm not arguing with you on this.Not all drug addicts,smokers and alcoholics are horrible despicable people

Since i lived there, they now have to treat you insurance or not.If you have insurance, fine.If not, they come after you for it.

Thats the American system.They dont have the money taken out of their wages.They pay for what level of health they need.Good system if you ask me.

Those that dont get insurance are taking a big gamble. A bit like abusing drugs.
