Didn't go in the end.

Mate turned up at 7.30pm to pick me up and I told them I couldn't be bothered.:icon_eek:

tbh I'm not fussed that I missed the game.......in fact I don't think I care that they won........

you mean friendly games don't actually mean anything ;)

Just back, a few observations...

- Chambers was superb, bombing down the wing and always willing to support the front players. If Kaebi plays down the right wing our right side could be awesome
- De Vries has lost lots of weight but still doesn't look up to much
- Kishishev, Weso and (briefly) Clemence looked excellent - we could have a cracking midfield here
- Hayes pacey, dangerous, but not much end product
- McAuley and N'Gotty look very solid
- Newton lazy and off the pace
- Cort clearly not match fit
- But everyone else looked sharp, good in the tackle and well up for it

Well I was quite looking forward to the game especially as I live a 20 min walk from the ground.

But for some reason I just thought I couldn't give a **** anymore.

Not going on satdee either(haven't told Ben that yet) or the Pompey game.....

i was going to do the whole preseason but thought it would cost too much. going to carlisle this saturday for united vs newcastle. going to scout about to see which other northern games are available and that will be my entertainment. i got excited about the portsmouth game but thats because i thought it was an away game :(

Nowt to do with the cost, I'm quite prepared to go to Mansfield on Friday night, but that's cos I've never been there, not cos I want to watch Leicester play.

Possibly the 7 cans of Calrsberg haven't helped my thoght processes.......but right now LCFC aren't even on my imoprtant list....

I Might go and drink a couple of more cans.....cos I don't feel drunk and depressed yet.......

Maybe I'm being a bit slow here, but I can't understand why "The Fridge" is an appropriate name for someone who has slimmed down?

No idea either but presumably a fridge is smaller than a deep freeze :102:.

Not my words but that of MA.

The best pre-season I ever did was 1997. I saw games as far apart as Torpoint and Burnley. By the time we kicked off the season proper against Villa, I was already on my 17th game.

Slightly dissapointing bf, i dont see a reason that would make you feel this way.

I will defo be there on fri in mansfield, partly because i have not been before, but mainly because i want to see my team.

Same goes for accrington stanley.

TBH I don't know why I feel like I do, I just do. I didn't feel like that at 7pm that's for sure......but then I just did...
Maybe I'm growing up and realising there's more to life than football.......though all I've done tonight is sit on the settee and have the tv on but didn't really watch it......

how many there tonight?

Stearman apparently had the captain's armband for the first hour until he was subbed off. Clemence took over from him.

Good game. Hayes looks like a good find. Elvis ran his bollocks off still crap though. Stearman is looking lean, fast and a good contender to start as centre back, he even roasted N'Gotty for not clearing the ball.

Its good to see a few of the academy lads getting a run out as well. You can see why they won the title last year.

Decent performance.

Chambers and Wesolowski looked very good. Cort and de Vries I thought were decent. No-one was poor. Hammond was as pacey as ever, nearly scored a cracking acrobatic volley, top save by the keeper. Nielsen looked suspect at times, kicking isn't the best, but he did ok in the end.

Thought he led the team very well today. Looked a completely different player from last season.
