Who should partner Davies when Vitor is back? Personally I think Hobbs is getting back to his best, and should keep his place, even if Vitor was impressive before he got crocked.

No brainer surely. Why drop a player who is playing well, especially when he's one of our own.

As we can only name 5 loan players in the match squad it would make sense to keep Hobbs in as we are already using Davies, Cunningham, Naughton and Bednar and presumably Kirkland when he's fit.

I suspect that Vitor is the better player

However, the chances of us keeping Davies in January must be pretty slim, so might be more worthwhile to keep Hobbs alongside him in the team permanently in the hope that he recovers his form of last year

NB: Michael Morrison. Will he ever play in a City shirt again :102:

The better player at the moment is Vitor but keeping Hobbs settled will be improtant if he is to be part of our longer term future.

Vitor is currently the better player. To get promoted we need to play the strongest side. Vitor, Davies and Hobbs will both have injuries/suspensions during the season so will interchange anyway with Davies. Play the strongest - Vitor.

Hobbs. he's ours, he's not really worse than Vitor, and we'll reap the benefits of him having regular gametime.

No brainer IMO

If you are right that Davies will not be with us after January and remembering that Vitor is a bit of a sicknote and only here for the season I expect to see Morrison play for us again.

Morrison, Hobbs and Vitor all had bad moments under Sousa. Morrison's seem to be held against him more than the other two; perhaps because he has had less chance to make amends. Remembering Vitors pathetic attempt at a rugby tackle against Portsmouth for which he was sent off I am yet to be convinced by him. None of Hobbs mistakes this season was quite that bad.

Last season Hobbs was voted player of the season and he certainly did well. However, I thought Morrison was even more deserving. At the start of last season right back seemed to be a weakness until he came in and playing out of position made it his own.

Vitor fit for tomorrow, over to you Sven, i would imagine an unchanged defence but i back/trust Sven whatever he decides

I'd thought it was agreed Vitor doesn't count towards that.

Hobbs makes me nervous when he plays at the moment, Vitor doesn't.

No, that's not what we agreed at all. He doesn't count toward the number of loanees that can be at the club. However, there can only be 5 loan players in the 17 man squad irrespective of where they come from, therefore he counts as one of those.
