I have no problem with people doing these threads providing their is a reasonable source i.e. not a tabloid newspaper, bentley's roof or footballrumours.com, but endless threads of idle tabloid gossip don't half get on your wick.

How about a new thread name prefix along the lines of "Tabloid Speculation" which would eliminate the chance of people opening the thread and getting annoyed...

I think tabloid speculation is far more reliable than the "man at the pub says.." type stuff, or the stuff that comes from the football rumours website.
So I would think people would be more disappointed to open a speculation thread and find it's one of those.

I agree Jeff. What the hell is the problem with people, always something to moan about.

Speculation is exactly that, regardless of the source.

I like the one we have in the summer where it's just one long Speculation thread that can be ignored. I just find speculation on players so tedious as the vast majority of it never comes to anything and would rather not have it littering the forums with a new thread each time.
