Any advice on going to Sharm el Sheikh (spelling) in Egypt?
Is it safe to go there these days?

I was there this time last year and was planning on going back again this year until everything went tits up. I would recommend it. Plenty of good places to eat (really cheap) .... recommend the Hard Rock Cafe just for entertainmnt value from the camp waiters .... Beer is around the same price as the UK, again no shortage of great bars (recommend the upstairs bar at the Camel Club).

The weather goes without saying and if you're not planning to dive when you're there then you want your head looking at.

They take the security very seriously now, plenty of security guards around, most hotels have airport style scanners in the entrances as does the jetty in Nama Bay for boarding the dive boats.

I was hoping to go over to Sharm this year again but with everything that has happened at home it's just not gonna happen. Going to the Farnes again in October though so that's a bit of a consolation prize I guess (sooner be going to the Red Sea though).

Just PM me for the fixtures for the weeks you will be missing. I will send them to you as soon as I can.
