This thread is for all the transfer targets that IH is going for, rumours and actual news, i'll start.

P.S the bullop thread is a bit too long now!!

Leicester boss Ian Holloway has made Derby striker Steve Howard and Peterborough forward Aaron McLean his top transfer targets. (Mirror)

Sunderland's Graham Kavanagh and David Connolly are targets for Norwich and Leicester. (Telegraph)

I think IH is really going for players that will boost this squad and get the best out of it, he wants to get some real leaders.

You're a genius spankster!!

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

Steve Howard would be a great signing. A proven goalscorer in this league, physical and gives his all - Get him in!

Wow, you must have some really close contacts within the club to know something that profound.

Did IH call round to your house for dinner or something?

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

I think all four of those mentioned are much better than anything we got.

But i can't remeber the last time we signed a good player..??

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

Still think Clememce is a good player just not shown it yet.

Conolly was the last good player we signed.

McLean is no better than any other striker we got....he's a poacher...which is fine in a team which are a superb attacking force in League 1 - but he's no different to Campbell.

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

I remain unconvinced that MM will actually part with much hard cash in transfer deals. He's old, tired and arrogant enough to think he knows it all - when clearly he doesn't! It was interesting to see that IH wanted to keep MM away from agents. I have no confidence in any deals being done that will help us escape relegation.

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

Kavanagh has been as good as Clemence this season.

great stuff, so we'd still have a shit midfield?

i wonder if DC does miss hitting the post at the walkers so much these days

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

i would just like to point out that i touted mr steve howard as a potential signing :)

Maybe we could bring back Josh Low to help him out? ;)

I don't know anything about McLean, but 17 goals in 24 games this season sounds good, even if it is in the league below. Been linked with Charlton as well though and has said he's not interested.

Steve Howard would be good if we'd signed him last year, but he hasn't played much this season and that could have had an effect.. Would be glad to see him come in, but worried that he could be yet another past it player.

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

Fosseman, what on earth did you have for breakfast, whatever it was it certainly didn't agree with you. Your so negative about the Chairman, and the club in general, why bother supporting it, you could save youself a lot of depression by simply walking away.

.

Low was awful on Saturday at London Road.

From this game McLean looked a passenger, his strike partner Macail-Smith did all the work and then popped up with a tap-in from 2 yards.

I have a sneaky feeling that the Walkers was built on a disused Red Indian possesed-by-evil-spirits animal burial ground that had been cursed by Gispies and home to a million broken mirrors.

Nah! My theory is that a Coventry City shirt has been embedded in the superstructure ensuring that good football is never seen in the stadium.
