Why?
OK, you won't get any grade 1 races but it's a great day out and the big fecking hill up to the post means there will be some big priced winners. It's a great course and free to get in too. close to mk, oxford or northampton which are all quality nights out

Just for the racing to be fair. There all 3 legged ones at towcester. Its a nice course, dont get me wrong but the standard of racing is better elsewhere
 
Newmarket is a nice course and not too far away from Cambridge.
 
I would say Towcester if your not a regular tipster and just want a day out. If you consider a party of ten getting in free against £180 to get in at Leicester then thats a good starter for a kitty?

No, but I fail to see how you can say they are shit areas after (I suspect) a visit or two. Maybe the racecourse is not of grade one standard, however, I was more interested in how you arrived at the opinion that it is a shit area, based on what and compared to where?

No it isn't,some decent horses race at Towcester and many Cheltenham festival horses run at Towcester because of the uphill finish which is similar to Cheltenham.
Not sure its the place Id choose for a day out at the races.

True and both are very nice.My ex-wife was from Cambridge so I know it well.Good pubs but they are for cultured decent folk so Han and his bunch have got no chance of getting in ....
 
Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere else but is somebody going to run the Cheltenham tipster league?
 
yep, i could do with something to keep me out of the donkey porn websites.

£1 per race, win only, non runners stake returned, if you miss a race it's still a quid down.
