I'm absolutely heartbroken, again. A week ago I marked a year since my big dog Maddie died. Last night, my dear old cat Chloe was presumably taken by coyotes. She must have slipped outside when I went out briefly, and I didn't notice. A while later I heard a brief yowl. I dashed outside but there was no sign of her. I spent the whole night and most of today searching the surrounding desert, already knowing I was looking for a body, but found nothing. Sadly, there's no chance she would have survived a coyote attack (or maybe bobcat) - she was old, slow, fat and had no front claws. The desert can be so cruel... as can life. This one has really floored me. For the first time ever, I really am completely on my own.

Still, chin up, the new prediction league starts soon....
 
Sorry to hear about that, coyotes took my wife's Westie a few years ago.

My sister in law works with an animal fostering group in Tucson if you want a (animal) companion.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm sure though that if you have any spare cash knocking around you could offer to pay for flights for Macky or Homer for some very special companionship! :icon_wink

Bad week. Lost my father-in-law last Tuesday and in the middle of all of the arrangements right now. Coming back on here helps to distract me though so thanks for that.

Thanks FF. Almost four years to the day since I did the same for my Mother-in-Law. Religious scepticism aside, they're together again now.
