It's not everyone's cup of tea, especially my friends in Leicester who have described it as looking like a military bunker or a factory! But this Santa Fe style is very popular here in the Southwest, and I've grown to quite like them over the last ten years. To be honest, I'm not buying a house as such, more a view. These photos don't do it any justice - it's pretty stunning. Another bonus is that it's quite a lot cheaper than a small semi-detached that one of my brothers just bought in Fleckney :icon_bigg

The nearest fire station is only five minutes away, which is good, although they'd have to ford a river to get there. Definitely a good idea not to set fire to it, if possible. I live in a small town at the moment so I'm already used to doing all my shopping whenever I'm in Tucson, which is about an hour to the north. There's a fecking massive Walmart Super Center in Nogales, which is on the border about 20 minutes to the south, but I generally avoid Walmart whenever I can.
