I do purchase stuff from the stadium and as has been said before, at the start of the game you get served fine but I wouldnt even dream of trying at half time.
The food is generally rubbish and I have been given the wrong chnge in both mine and their favour in the past. The pies are not too bad but can be sometimes cold.
One of the main porblems I find is that the staff seem to be a different nationality every week, half of them dont understand english and never seem to have handle english money in their lives. I know it must be difficult to staff these type of thisn but for god sake leics is full of poor students at least the would have some idea of the english language and currency.

Too fecking idle to work

I think that's something that has noticeably improved over the course of the season.

the standard of food is poor
the standard of beer is poor
the standard of service is poor
the costs are way to high for substandard produce

Relatively compared to last season I would agree but it is still far too often to give any decent level of service IMO.

there has been a slight improvement in the service on last season although the quality and cost are very poor.
It can take upwards of ten minutes to get served then you can not take your drink back to your seat, so you have to gulp it down or miss the start of the 2nd half.

Covscum had people walking around the concourse selling drinks from cooler bags this went some way to reducing the queues at their place, they also had designated alcohol only bars.

If you are a Lindleys bod....

1. your staff are woeful, thick, dont give a **** and cant speak english
2. your food is woeful, you should be ashamed
3. your beer is woeful, have you ever considered cleaning the pipes?
4. your general service is woeful, have you ever considered pre pouring a few pints before half time? and not changing the barrel as I get there at half time.
5. your stock levels are woeful. For the prices you charge I'm sure you can afford to throw a few things away if not purchased.

I could go on...

Thankfully I am not a "Lindley bod," but when finished I can pass my report on to Lindley about how to improve their service - although their service cannot get much worse can it!

My thoughts, copied from a message I sent to the club last year:

I sit in the south stand, along with my wife and a group of friends every week and would like to spend approximately £10 per match, purchasing at least 2 pies and 2 alcoholic drinks for consumption at half time.

Over the last 2/3 seasons I have tried everything to achieve this, including leaving the match 5 minutes before half time to join the queue, only to find that whatever I do I seem to waste the whole of the half time break (often more) only to find that there are invariably no cheese and onion pasties left.

I have therefore come to the conclusion that you do not want my money, and have therefore made it my matchday mission to ensure that I get a quality snack in the pub before I leave for the ground, definitely not at the ground.

What I find particularly disappointing is that whenever I attend a non football event that involves some form of break e.g. Rugby and theatre (Cricket does not count due to its length), I can count on either better food (Rugby) or better service (Theatre) that adds to the enjoyment of the occasion rather than detracting from it.

If you are interested I think this whole issue needs a radical rethink, tinkering will achieve very little, for example doubling the number of staff in the kiosks at half time may double the revenue (worth a pilot study?).

p.s. Apologies for the pessimistic nature of this e-mail, I am however completely hacked off with what you provide us with and laughingly called catering.

I'm usually so excited by half time that I can't even think about food!

Even this season Micky? I'd have thought the most exciting prospect at half time recently was the fact that you were 45 minutes closer to going back to the pub!
