How many City games have you been to?

I'm not even going to try to estimate it. If I did, I would almost certainly multiply my total by the average number of pounds that I have paid for tickets. I'd then work out the cost of transport. And of programmes and pies and ...

And before I had a chance to add it all together, I would realise what a lot of money I've wasted over the years!

I have over the last few days worked out how many City games I have been to. With the help of Soccerbase I have looked at the fixtures for every season and by doing this, been able to workout how many City games I have attended. This is not counting friendlies.


1990/91 - 3 games.

1991/92 - 13 games

1992/93 - 18 games

1993/94 - 24 games

1994/95 - 29 games

1995/96 - 28 games

1996/97 - 30 games

1997/98 - 21 games

1998/99 - 29 games

1999/00 - 27 games

2000/01 - 24 games

2001/02 - 20 games

2002/03 - 28 games

2003/04 - 19 games

2004/05 - 26 games

2005/06 - 25 games

2006/07 - 31 games



This works out to a total of 395 games, I have broken it down a bit further.


Home Games - 348

Away Games - 40

not sure how many but my first game was the 94-95 season on boxing dat when we lost 2-0 to liverpool i remeber stevie thompson missing a penalty that day still very enjoyable despite the loss got to of been to a few hundred tho

Was it Sheff Weds? Played on New Years Eve, if I remember rightly. It snowed. Thommo hit the post with the peno, and kicked the rebound into the net, the goal not standing because the ball has to touch another player before the penalty taker can touch it again?

I would say that I have been to more than 500 games dating from the 1970's. My main time for going was in the 80's (bad luck on me) and 90's. Since then I been abroad some of the time and that has cut down on the number of games. :icon_conf
