English wasn't 'started' in the Midlands, northern Europe if it was started anywhere.
I haven't got a fecking clue what a 'linguologist' is, but I'm pretty sure the dialect that was adopted as Standard English was from the south-east, not the Midlands. I presume that's what you're talking about?
There was something about this a few years ago. It's down to the fact that Leicester was on the border of where the Danes ruled and the Anglo Saxons ruled. English evolved from the hybrid language used when trading between these groups.
It's only a theory though, could quite possibly be bollocks.
