HTC HD7 Vs HTC Desire

Finally getting round to updating my phone and I am between these two.

I have read all the reviews and still cant make my mind up. I am a little dubious on getting the HTC HD7 as it is a Windows 7 phone which seems to have come in for some stick.

Has anybody on here had any bad experiences with either of these phones?

I am positive about my HTC Desire, why not get an HTC Desire HD?

How much is it? It is worth it.

I swore I would never go with HTC again after slow updates on the HTC Hero, but then I played with the Desire HD and haven't looked back yet.

HTC are quite slow to release updates, but if it's a choice between the two then go for the Desire, and the HD if you can afford it.

Don't go with a windows phone, ever ever ever.

I have a HTC Desire, never had a problem with it, then again I simply use my phone for calls, texts & internet only.

poor battery aside, I love my HTC desire

Turn of google backup, turn of wireless and gos when aren't using it and set your sync to a reasonable time. I had twitter and facebook syncing every 10 minutes, then realised I only checked my phone (due to being in class) every 4 hours or so, so set it to that. With the above my Desire HD went from about a 12-18 hour life to over 24, so still not brill but a lot more usable.
