I agree with almost all of this but I think you are being a bit harsh on supply teachers.
The concept of supply teachers , nurses, firemen, whatever, is normally fuelled by incredibly bad management added to funding issues, which means staffing levels and morale is usually stretched and rock bottom.
Its very difficult to be a supply worker in such team situations. While LCFC cannot claim funding issues, CS, was and is a member of a poor management structure who was promoted within it.
Agreed :-) The supply teacher reference is entirely based on personal experience. I went to school in the 60s & 70s...the cane was still a well & reasonably often used implement. Supply teachers in those days were often the younger, slightly hippy "progressive" type. Far less likely to resort to sending you to the Deputy Head for a good hammering. Therefore, in the rough arsed council estate comp I went to they were a golden opportunity to **** about. I tend to think of the relationship between CS & the players like that. Rightly or wrongly, thats the impression I get. Pro footballers tend to be a lot like children to me so the comparison works for me.

Except, that's not what I said. I'm assuming you have chosen to completely misunderstand for comic effect as it really isn't that difficult. Read my response above - I understand the logic behind sourcing staff based on performance.

As I hope you know, the point I was making is that expecting success of somebody because they have achieved elsewhere is as flawed as expecting failure because someone hasn't. I can't be bothered to try and explain it to you anymore, it would take a giant sized piece of paper and an infinite paint set to get you to understand the simplest of concepts.

Wow.

Spurs demonstrating how to do it, and just how crap they are
