dont beat around the bush lako, say what you mean... :icon_lol:
what a load of utter utter toss. poor old little hughesy has had his talent coached out of him, never heard so much shit in my life.
The quality of coaching, discipline and tactics has a massive effect on players hence why we dropped like a stone when MON and his buddies left and were replaced by Taylor.
There have been a number of examples of players that have either joined the club or come through the ranks over the past 2 or so years, looked decent prospects in the early days only to go backwards:
Stephen Hughes
Paddy McCarthy
Matty Fryatt
Ryan Smith
Richard Stearman
You talk sense sometimes pinky

so where is the evidence that any of these players had the ability to play at this level in the first place?

there is 0 evidence that any seasoned pro with true tested abilty at this level had been ruined by previous management set ups.
Maybe young lads who have been founf wanting at a step up in level but that is nothing to do with the coaching.
Hughes was one of our best players when he first arrived, a solid passer of the ball and forever making runs beyond the front 2. That left forever after a few months here.

Agree entirely. You can add Maybury to the list as well - after a few months there was a vote on here for a new captain, which Maybury won hands down if I remember. maybe the standard of the league changed?
How come we have never been anywhere near challenging, even when the players first arrived and didnt have time to be 'turned shit'
Lako, you're arguing yourself into a corner for the sake of it.maybe the standard of the league changed?
