A rumour from a first-time poster on another forum, I wouldn't believe a word of it. People were saying Williams had the same clause for the end of this season when we signed him, papers and people just know we had those clauses for Dickov etc and they like to make up rumours because they know with our previous history of them the fans are more likely to believe it. Didn't the club say there would be no more such clauses after Dickov left?

I don't think it was the clausesw themsleves that were the issue with Dickov etc more the slightly generous transfer fees agreed.

I doubt its true, I think it came from some newspaper in Scotland. We've been linked with the other Stephen Hughes from Coventry for ages, maybe its some sort of misunderstanding

Mind you, Hughes looked good to me and the SoL, Mick may end up testing your resolve, but I'm sure I wouldn't sell if I was Levein for the 750K thats being quoted.

Only time will tell though
