I don't slur.

tbh he was brill, told us what he thought about certain names he knew of from some forums(ahem) and seems to have his head screwed on.

Come on bf, spill the beans, name names

14 goals is good for Hume as far as I'm concerned. He's a support striker more than an out and out goalscorer, and that tally is around what most people would've expected from him at the start of the season.
If Fryatt (or anyone else for that matter) had managed to get 20+ goals this season then I don't think Hume's critics would have such a problem with him.

Hume only scored a couple less goals than the likes of Howard, Eastwood, Vine, and Nugent! With how crap the rest of our team has done I think that's decent.

I think Hume's tally is good enough for him to keep his place, at least on the bench.

Spot on. I think Hume is well worthy of a first team spot and I hope he stays.

He also represents 50% of our total complement of half decent players. Not that he is in anyway outstanding compared to former players. But it is certain we would have been relegated without him.

Yes, if you're talking about removing him completely we would have been relegated. But If we'd replaced him with somebody with a greater knowledge of the game then we could have had another 10 goals on top.

My concern with him isn't the goals he's scored, they don't lie. It's the goals he's missed!!!!!

You're forgetting he's not that old.....over the next couple of years experience could mean those missed chances going in....especially if he's paired with a decent striker.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing him off, he's clearly got something, we saw that at the back end of last season. He's just not the bloody messiah that he's made out to be.

That's right, he's just a very naughty boy! ;)

Oh and it isn't anyone from here he wasn't complementary about! Twas someone from the old 606 now rivals I think, I don't go on rivals much so I don't know if he posts anywhere else....

Thoguh when we mentioned the name of the site he definitely knew about it.

It is evident to see the effort he puts in. And it is obviously so much more than Hughes etc. I love watching Hume play, when he's on top of his game he looks really good. His 2 goals vs. Southampton (h) and goal vs. Wolves (h) were really top drawer. I hope he stays and can progress as a footballer from the promising season he has had. If he can score 14 goals in this team just imagine how well he'd do with good service
