Why the **** did we sign him. I know I dodn't see the game today but he is a complete waste of ****ing space. My God (or Allah in his case) I hope Kaebi is all he's cracked up to be and he gets match fit ASAP. Last season he had no more impact than Jason Jarrett and we didn't go out and sign him permanently. By our esteemed managers own admission he had one decent game against Birmingham and we signed him on the strength of that. Even in his prime at Charlton he was a slightly above average player.

you see this kind of comment really gets on my tits! if your only really interested in peoples comments who actually went to the game then why bother posting anything?? apart from trying to belittle the bloke that started the thread.?

I don't think it's fair to single out any of our players and say we hate them.

Personally I just hate the whole ****ing club, this saves me having to select individual players.

if you didnt go to the game then you dont know what you are talking about, he prob the only midfielder than ran his shorts off and tried everything to help the team score...

Newton had a good game. The weaknesses were failing to boss the midfield from the beginning; failing to play at a fast enough pace and failing to play high enough up the field.

To his credit when MA brought on DJ as the third striker it was intially at the expense of the midfield. When he saw that was not working well enough he brought off Mattock so we played 3-4-3 and it was effective in terms of the possession we had and the chances that were being created. Even though we didn't we always looked, in the last 30 mins, as if we would score a goal!

We have a strong 'spine' of N'Gotty, Clemence and de Vries. I think once the team starts to 'gel' around this spine we will see tighter passing, more movement into space. This team does have a clue. It will get better. The goal was our fault for watching the ref not the ball. If the situation had been reversed we would have given the team huge grief if we had not done exactly the same thing.

25 000 in the stadium wanted us to win. We did not win. We were beaten by a newly promoted team. Spurs were beaten by a newly promoted team. It is not the end of their quest for a top 6 place, nor is it the end of ours.

We played well enough for 60 mins to genuinely say we did not deserve to lose. I am probably too biased to say we 'easily' deserved to win.

I am very confident that from what I saw today we will score a lot of goals and beat a lot of teams. I never felt like that last season, and we probably do not have our strongest team out yet!

FFS we LOST!!!!! no one thing about it we LOST!!!! I could not care less if we played like the Champions of Europe in the end we LOST!!! I would rather we played crap boring football and won, winning is everything and losing is not acceptable.

As for Newton he played well enough to be on the next team sheet.

If we were to play crap and win more than a couple of times then the chances are you are riding your luck and it will quickly run out!

If you always play like the Champions of Europe, then even if luck goes against you, you have a chance of winning.

Losing is undesirable, it is stupid to say it is unacceptable when we have no control over random variables including the referee. Giving a poor performance as an individual or as a team that does not give you a chance of winning IS unacceptable.

Why start a thread ripping into one of our players who actually did alright today when the tit who started the thread never even went. mindless. Come to the stadium, buy a ticket and watch the match before starting a fukcing stupid thread like this. Idiot

I was there and I thought that Newton played well today, as did those around him. We just had one of those days. (I though that their keeper played a blinder 2nd half).
