From the Leicester Mercury. Does anyone understand or empathise with it? I don't!
"I read in your paper about how TV makes it hard for fans nowadays.
Yes, it is true, but I believe the club should also give more help to fans on live TV match days. They get more monies from live TV games and still expect fans to turn up.
All clubs are going the same way. They pay lip service to the fans, but cannot live without the TV monies.
I am a dinosaur, I know, and I could go on about how many years I have been an LCFC season ticket-holder, but that only means something to me.
I have decided my wife and I will no longer have a season ticket. This has nothing to do with football or the price. It is because of the way Leicester City is run. The club wants fans to turn up at the match, have a drink and a pie, watch the match and go home as quickly as possible.
They are intent on stopping any real contact with not only their own players but also the opposition. I strongly believe this attitude leads to booing at matches. Everything is about winning when really it should be supporting your club.
I have been shouted at and talked down to by security. I used to put monies into this club, so surely they should speak to me with respect.
I think it's the same in everyday life. You go shopping and the sales assistant looks at you like you're a major problem. What do you do? Put the item down and walk out the shop. That is what I am doing with Leicester City.
It has been a major part of my life for nearly 50 years, so it is a really sad day for me. I would like to thank all the players, old and new, who have always treated me with respect. A special thank you to Chris Tucker, Steve Beaglehole and John Green, all of whom have treated me with respect and, in some cases, like a king. I wish these people ran this club.
I still wish Leicester City all the best and hope they make the promised land. I am sure I will be stuck to the radio each match day.
