According to a reporter on Radio 5, Dowie is unhappy at Cov***** due to lack of promised investment and is again being linked with the Leicester job.

Any takers?

Re: Ian Dowie

Why not.
He's used to being sacked after a few games so perfect for us

Re: Ian Dowie

Again, this is probably just paper talk. Old news about him falling out with the board over investment and he was linked with the Leicester job last time, so I doubt there's actually anything to it.

Plus, with Coventry doing so well, why on earth would he want to leave?

Wouldn't mind him here though, better than some of the other clowns supposedly in the frame.

Re: Ian Dowie

Hmmm... We nick Dowie from Cov and MA2 ends up at the scum arena... Stranger things have happened.

Re: Ian Dowie

I'd take him like a shot. Always rated him and wanted him when MM first arrived. Is it true that he's still not signed a contract at Cov? I was trying to find out earlier without success.

I bet that MM is regretting not making sure he took the club over a few weeks earlier cos ID would have been in then and we'd probably be where Cov are in the league.

The 42-year old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the club and his first job will be to prepare the squad for Tuesday night's home match against Southampton.

Re: Ian Dowie

Let him stay there, cus he wont last 5 minutes at leicester.

Re: Ian Dowie

dowie will probably tell the cov chairman that he wants to take some time off from being a manager and then he'll come to us. :icon_bigg

Iain Dowie coming to City??

According to the press, Iain Dowie will be the manager Milan Mandaric approaches to lead Leicester City into the Premiership.

Sound good to me, sadly I am not sure if Cov will let him go though.

Re: Ian Dowie

Not important enough to start a new thread but I noticed the Mirror is reporting the Dowie rumour. Is MM still sueing them? Has tthe Mirror apologised?

Re: Ian Dowie

But then theres a little matter of Dowie's court case with his previous employer, which might come into the equation.

Re: Ian Dowie

I said last week that MM may be able to coax Dowie with the promise of a lump sum to pay off his legal bills.
