I thought the short arse was supposed to be an attacker, and be in the box ready for the pin perfect cross.

I don't understand him taking free kicks and corners, I agree with you on that.
I would define honest as someone who turns out every week and gives 100% and plays for the shirt. If we had 11 Iain Humes we wouldn't be struggling.

No, but you could say the same thing about him, that he should be in the area rather than the one crossing the ball. At least Arsenal have got other players who can take set pieces, we've been crap at it since Muzzy left, so it's worth trying something new.

It's fair enough. He's not going to get too much in the air from corners and free-kicks (I can't immediately remember him scoring from a free-kick or corner) and he can place the ball well (at times).

His last effort of the game was a shot was it not?! I imagine he took the free kick as he was our best chance of getting something near the target.

I think he said in an interview (maybe last year) that he is the type of player to score 10-15 a year while providing support for other players. Probably better off as an attacking midfielder.
