Holloway will sign a couple of good players in January. We'll win a couple of games and this board will suddenly be full of, "We're going to get promotion" posts. Which, I hope I don't need to add will be as unrealistic as the current all is gloom and doom attitude! :icon_roll

Quite Diken. I find all that unrealism very irritating.

However, I doubt whether Holloway will be able to attract good players in January - unless seriously big wages are on offer.

Between now and January, I reckon he should show half of the posts off here to the players and get a siege mentality about em. Grind out some results.

In January, we sign an influenial midfielder, a targetman and a winger. We'll need a bit of luck but normally Holloway pulls it off...

Too right.

I don't know where people get off, being all pissed-off with winning only three games at home in 2007 and having put in a cummulative one and a half decent performances in the season so far.

Christ! When will these people get a sense of perspective? :102:

Milan has money and the manager is funny, I'm going off to read something Ollie has said today - that always raises my dander. :023::023::023:

Can I ask what his wife is like before I answer the question?

I know some people don't know when they're well off.

Some fans are totally unreal: they pay a few thousand quid for travel, subsidence, booze and game admission to follow their football team round the country and somehow they expect blokes paid ten times plus their wages to put in a bit of an effort from time to time.

They forget that they get thrown into the match day experience some fine cuisine; gourmet coffee and the mature wisdom of Birch and his own bespoke for them working class derivative of games without frontiers - and an award winning match day programme which in a fairer world would in itself give us automatic entry into the second round of the Champions League.

They need to just keep in mind that when we lose - it's the fans fault.

I agree, some people are so unrealistic that even though they moan that the team is full of shite players they still expect them to win. "Stearmans wank, but why is he making mistakes? Humes overrated, but for gods sake he's not scoring, Newtons shit, but he'd better put a fecking good cross in".

And let's not forget the fact that a manager who has been here only 3 weeks can't get a bunch of innefectuals to suddenly punch above their weight (and neither could the last guy, but we hounded him out to Bolton so we're well shot there apparantly) . I mean, they get paid thousands of pounds, so for ****s sake they should be beating these other players, I mean, it's not like they are paid that much money as well is it? After all it works everywhere else doesn't it, I can hit a tennis ball over the net, if only someone would pay me more money to do it I would suddenly be good enough to beat Roddick, so long as I had the right manager of course.

Also let's not skip past the fact that we pay them to play, so we have every right to voice our displeasure at their effort and performance. I'd love it if my whole company came and sat and booed and pointed when I make a mistake, after all they pay my wage so have every right too. It would boost my morale at work no end. In fact it would probably make me try so very much harder and I would show them the meaning of passion. Of course if I was that bad they would fire me, an option not available in football, but this isn't the fault of the players.

You know we won the league cup a few times? And MON was brill, I can't believe how far the mighty have fallen, we should be winning all of our games and we should be in the premiership.

What?

How dare you say I sound like a Forrest or Leeds fan? We are better than them, they are just dissilusioned with their expectations, we deserve it, we're the mighty Lestah

He's just scored 3 in 3 (officially), so by my thought process he'd be first on my team sheet at the minute.

I was merely quoting the standard line after every game. My point was that half the time we spend moaning about the players being shit, and the other half wondering why we aren't winning anything. Seems a bit daft
