Is it still the case that more people, like meself, leave the UK each year than the numbers coming in? That was a fact a few years ago, although I know things have changed a bit recently.

Whatever, it does look like a convenient excuse to trot out the "running out of space" arguement. Remember 9-11, which was a "good day to bury bad news"? Could it be that this is a good recession to bury bad policies?

The problem isn't immigration, its the workshy british ****ers who choose to sit on their arse all day rather than work, the government has allowed them to be this way and brings in immigration as a way of propping up the jobs market. Whilst there is always a need for unemployment to keep fluidity, something really needs to be done to get Britis back into jobs taken by eu immigrants, especially lower end manufacturing.

Spot on

Far easier for the ignorant to blame all the foreigners, though, isn't it ?

Especially the coloureds........

I also know several Polish lads that have never worked a day in their lives and only moved to the UK & Ireland to sell drugs, duty free fags & booze and to generally scam people.QUOTE]

If you know this to be true, have you done anything about it? Or just turned your back?:102:

Doesn't matter why they're here, send the ****s back.

Bang on Drew

That argument has been debunked many times for the simple reason that immigrants get older too and eventually want a pension themselves.

has it bollocks, it's very basic economics

yes they have a pension themselves...years and years away

No jobs? they are all genuinely looking for work but there just aren't the jobs?

No. They're too sick to work - too sick to look for work.
