Re: Paul Ince

Ince Approach Refused
Posted on: Fri 13 Jun 2008

Leicester City today confirmed they had been refused permission by fellow League One side MK Dons to speak to Paul Ince with regards to their vacant managerial position.

Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "Obviously, we are disappointed that we have been unable to talk to Paul, but we fully respect his decision to stay at MK Dons.

"We made an honest approach and that has been turned down. It is as simple as that.

"It is true that Paul was someone that we were interested in talking to with regards to the position here. We will now carry on speaking to the other candidates and hopefully we will be in a position to make our decision over the weekend.

"I want a manager who has a bursting desire to come to Leicester City Football Club. That is my number one criteria.

I have a bursting desire to manage Leicester City, doesn't mean I will be any good at it you senile old fool.

but it might justify Grayson's appointment on Monday.

Re: Paul Ince

Milan is punching above his weight with trying to get the likes of Billy Davies and Paul Ince here, he should go with Dave Penney.

Ummm, We all know Grayson has a 'bursting desire' to come here, but appears to be overlooked.

That seems to me an excellent way of reducing the field to a managable number of candidates.

Done well at Southend on a **** all budget. Has a good win %, knows this division very well, managed to get them into the playoffs last season despite having the like of Eastwood sold. He's not a mouthy gobshite, he doesn't do impressions or tell jokes, so must be a good move ? :icon_bigg

I think Milan is pissed off at the fact Ince said he was happy to be linked with the blackburn job and made no comment towards the Leicester job which meant he is not really interested in the job, there went the Desire that is doesnt have for Leicester
